Description

Lead and coordinate commercial activities for psychiatry across an assigned geography to drive sales growth and achieve district targets. Develop, implement, and communicate a District Sales Plan while monitoring progress and coordinating in-field execution. Coach and develop teams, apply market and managed care insight, and ensure strong day-to-day and long-term business execution.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate commercial activity with in-field teams to reach assigned sales targets

  • Create, implement, and communicate the District Sales Plan; monitor progress

  • Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets; maximize market and team dynamics

  • Ensure smooth, collaborative day-to-day and long-term business execution; set the tone and pace for business processes

  • Lead with a market and franchise/business point of view, including Managed Care landscape

  • Develop product and disease-state mastery and champion in-field meetings

  • Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members; hold direct reports accountable

  • Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in business planning

  • Consistently exemplify AbbVie Ways of Working

  • Drive a personal auto or company vehicle for field activity (as applicable)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; relevant equivalent industry experience required

  • Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance

  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills

  • Ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas

  • Proven ability to deliver candid, effective feedback and efficiently manage performance

  • Ability to develop talent for promotional opportunities

  • Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement

  • Ability to collaborate and influence without authority across organizations

  • Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements

  • Satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities in the assigned territory (e.g., background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses)
