Description

You will help shape how IDC and clients understand a fast-evolving printing market by combining rigorous primary and secondary research with advanced data analysis and strong relationships across the vendor and channel ecosystem. This is a high-visibility role developing deep subject-matter expertise, engaging senior stakeholders, and delivering insights that support strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary and secondary research on the EMEA printing market
  • Gather insights through interviews with vendors, channel partners, and other stakeholders
  • Analyze large datasets to identify market trends, business opportunities, and competitive dynamics
  • Learn and apply IDC proprietary software, methodologies, and analytical tools
  • Ensure timely delivery of research outputs in line with global research schedules and deadlines
  • Build and maintain relationships with key market players across the vendor and distribution channel ecosystem
  • Collaborate with regional and global research teams to produce high-quality market intelligence and forecasts

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the IT industry, ideally gained via a printing vendor, IT distributor, channel partner, or market research organization
  • Experience conducting primary and secondary research, preferably across EMEA
  • Proven data processing, modelling, and analytical skills
  • Ability to identify key trends and derive actionable insights from large datasets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and presenting research findings to internal and external audiences
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with industry stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote and geographically dispersed team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; experience with market intelligence platforms is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Market Research, Data Analytics, or a related field
