Description

We are looking for a talented L2 Database Specialist to monitor, support, and troubleshoot 100+ MS SQL Server instances in local and client environments. You will work closely with IT Infrastructure, Database Administrators, and the Customer Support team to maintain security, performance, and overall efficiency of managed instances that may reach tens of terabytes.

Responsibilities

• SQL Server monitoring and performance troubleshooting

• Support clients and internal teams with complex database tasks

• Support and test database backup/restore strategies

• Support and test database HA/DR solutions

• Assist Database Administrators with database management tasks

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL

• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting

• 2+ years’ experience with database administration or development on MS SQL Server 2012 and newer

• Hands-on experience with Always-on Availability Groups

• Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills

• Great communication skills in English (written and spoken)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent area

• Experience with database development is an advantage
