• Role: Satellite Operations Engineer (Flight Operations)

Description

You will support the safe and efficient operations of spacecraft across all mission phases—from satellite development and launch to routine operations and anomaly resolution. In this role, you will execute Flight Operations Procedures (FOPs) from the mission control center, maintain and develop operational procedures, and contribute to mission readiness activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute spacecraft operations using Flight Operations Procedures (FOPs) from the mission control center

• Support the development, coding, validation, and maintenance of operational procedures

• Participate in pre-launch activities, including System Validation Tests (SVTs) with spacecraft or simulators

• Support ground segment validation campaigns

• Monitor spacecraft health and status, ensuring compliance with mission constraints

• Identify, investigate, and escalate spacecraft anomalies according to established protocols

• Execute contingency and recovery procedures following anomaly resolution approval

• Support mission readiness activities, including simulations and training campaigns

• Maintain accurate operational logs and contribute to post-operations reporting

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a control centre environment (space or comparable high-reliability industry), or in aerospace testing (hardware and/or software)

• Technical background in at least one of: avionics, electrical engineering, electronics, thermal engineering, software engineering

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured problem-solving approach

• Ability to operate effectively under pressure in time-critical situations

• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)

• Willingness to work in shift patterns in a control center located in Warsaw, including critical mission phases such as LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase)

• Commitment to training and certification for flight operations
