Description

Lead an SAP ABAP development team supporting and extending applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform. Provide technical leadership through code reviews, feature development, application monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation. Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on technical topics and contribute to architectural and design decisions while improving development processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews and develop features following best software development practices, ensuring clean code and design

• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs

• Write technical and user documentation

• Collaborate with the team, track performance, and identify team needs

• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on technical topics and provide required metrics to management

• Participate in setting up, improving, and implementing development processes

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience in SAP ABAP

• Experience working as team lead and mentoring an organization structure with 10+ people

• Agile (Scrum) development experience

• Expert understanding of application and software architecture

• Strong ABAP programming skills, including ABAP OO and design patterns

• Experience in ABAP for SAP S/4HANA development (CDS, Fiori elements/SmartTemplates)

• Experience with SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services

• Experience with BOPF, BOL, and other ABAP frameworks

• Knowledge of ABAP Test Cockpit, ABAP performance tuning, and runtime analysis tools/techniques

• Basic understanding of SAP systems functionality with good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functional areas

• English proficiency level B2 or higher
