Description

You will lead SAP ABAP development and support activities for applications within the SAP Business Technology Platform. The role includes code reviews, feature development, application monitoring and bug fixing, and producing technical and user documentation. You will also provide technical leadership, collaborate with customers and stakeholders, and support development/process and architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews and develop features using best software development practices (clean code/design)
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs
• Write technical and user documentation
• Collaborate with the team; track performance and needs
• Work with customers and stakeholders on technical topics; provide required metrics to management
• Participate in setup, improvement, and implementation of development processes
• Make design and architectural decisions

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience in SAP ABAP
• Team lead experience mentoring and coordinating a team of 10+ people
• Agile (Scrum) development experience; strong understanding of application/software architecture
• Strong ABAP skills including ABAP OO and design patterns
• ABAP development for SAP S/4HANA (CDS, Fiori elements/SmartTemplates)
• Experience with SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services
• Experience with BOPF, BOL, and other ABAP frameworks
• Knowledge of ABAP Test Cockpit, ABAP performance tuning, and runtime analysis tools/techniques
• Basic understanding of SAP system functionality with good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA functional areas
• Proven ability to work independently and in international project teams
• English proficiency B2+
