Description

You will own the platform the engineering teams build on—Kubernetes (EKS), delivery pipelines, and cloud infrastructure under both product lines. You’ll make architectural decisions in a small senior team and drive end-to-end migrations and consolidation across providers and regions. You’ll also manage production database systems, keep the Rails runtime current, and support reliable operations through CI/CD, disaster recovery testing, and incident readiness.

Responsibilities

• Run and evolve a multi-region AWS and EKS platform managed as code with Terraform and deployed through ArgoCD

• Own CI/CD across repositories (CircleCI, GitHub Actions) to keep commit-to-production fast and reliable

• Lead infrastructure migrations end to end: containerization, database moves between providers/regions, and cutovers with verification and rollback plans

• Manage PostgreSQL and Amazon RDS at production scale (upgrades, sizing, performance)

• Keep Ruby on Rails runtime up to date (framework upgrades, performance tuning, autoscaling behavior)

• Own cloud cost management (rightsizing, autoscaling, savings plan utilization, monthly cost reporting)

• Run disaster recovery testing and incident readiness drills; address issues they reveal

• Act as the infrastructure point of contact for engineering, security, and commercial stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering with meaningful time on AWS

• Production Kubernetes experience, ideally EKS

• Strong Terraform and strong infrastructure-as-code instincts

• Experience running real database migrations or provider cutovers, including verification approach

• Comfort with Linux, containers, and GitOps

• Strong scripting in Python, Go, Bash (or similar) and ability to debug across the stack

• Working professional English proficiency
