Description

You will support the transformation of infrastructure management toward a Platform Engineering model by designing IaC and GitOps mechanisms to manage environments. The role includes building a recovery-ready cloud environment that improves operational resilience, while implementing standards, CI/CD pipelines, and operational documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural support for IaC and GitOps environment management

• Support design of recovery/failover environments aligned with resilience assumptions and priorities

• Structure Terraform repositories, reusable modules, and infrastructure delivery standards

• Define engineering standards (branching, pull request flow, approvals, naming, tagging)

• Build CI/CD pipelines for IaC (plan on pull request, apply after merge with approvals, validations, security/quality scans)

• Implement AWS infrastructure in Terraform across networking, IAM, Kubernetes platform components, load balancing, autoscaling, storage and file transfer services, DNS and certificates, edge protection, and backup-related elements

• Collaborate on implementation priorities, technical trade-offs, and delivery sequencing

• Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks

• Plan and execute an MVP recovery test scenario; validate assumptions and document lessons learned

• Support handover and knowledge transfer to the client team

• Continuously improve maintainability, security, repeatability, and operational readiness
