Description

You will support a migration program by administering, configuring, and maintaining application environments used for payment card acceptance/acquiring and issuer processor business processes. The role includes monitoring system health, resolving incidents/problems, verifying and deploying production changes, and assisting with application builds, testing, and migrations to new environments. You will collaborate with internal teams and external technical support while keeping documentation up to date in Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain application environments
  • Support payment card issuing system applications
  • Support acquiring transaction system applications
  • Monitor application environments for correct operation
  • Resolve incidents and problems to ensure application server continuity
  • Verify and implement changes in production systems
  • Participate in project work for local and international organization initiatives
  • Coordinate with external technical support teams
  • Work closely with the FTS Application & Middleware team (BAU)
  • Partner with Project Managers during building, testing, and migrating applications to new environments
  • Prepare and submit requests for infrastructure build, configuration, and access
  • Identify and remove blockers during migration
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Monitor environments for performance and reliability
  • Create and maintain high-quality, current documentation in Confluence

Requirements

  • Very good practical knowledge of PL/SQL or T-SQL
  • Very good practical knowledge of Perl or PowerShell or Shell or Bash or Python
  • Knowledge of infrastructure, networking, load balancing, and TLS
  • Knowledge of availability, performance, monitoring, and resilience for online transaction systems and high-volume batch processing systems
  • Understanding of challenges related to migrating applications between data centers
  • Experience in similar positions or projects, especially application migrations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good Polish and English (speaking and writing)
  • Ability to collaborate with SMEs from different countries and clearly communicate technical scope, challenges, and proposed solutions
  • Responsibility for product quality and ability to take and meet commitments
  • Ability to collaborate, share knowledge/experience, negotiate compromises, and build effective relationships
