Description

Support the evaluation and testing of biometric systems and other state-of-the-art IT security products. You will analyze product security architectures, derive attack vectors, and develop creative tests such as presentation and injection attacks while investigating new vulnerabilities. Work with national and international customers on topics including biometrics, cryptography, eHealth, and more.

Responsibilities

• Independently support the examination and assessment of biometric systems and other advanced IT security products.

• Strengthen an internationally leading IT security testing body with national and international clients.

• Analyze product security architectures and derive attack vectors.

• Develop creative tests for biometric systems (e.g., presentation and injection attacks) and investigate emerging weaknesses.

• Collaborate with authorities, associations, and customers on future topics.

Requirements

• University degree in a STEM field (M.Sc. or PhD), as a junior or with professional experience (senior).

• Interest in the (in)security of IT products and a basic understanding of IT security.

• Enjoy creating and improving attack tools such as artificial fingers, 3D face masks, and deepfakes.

• Ideally: knowledge of biometric systems, presentation attacks, injection attacks, and biometric standards including ISO/IEC 19795 and ISO/IEC 30107.

• Ideally: experience developing image-processing software.

• Team communication skills and very good English proficiency (spoken and written).

• Analytical thinking, interest in new topics, and motivation to keep learning.
