Description

Lead discovery and solution design for the largest enterprise engagements, turning ambiguous business problems into signed target architectures for CRM, data, custom software, and agentic AI. Own architecture through delivery so what’s designed in pre-sales is built without structural redesigns after signature. Define the enterprise solution design methodology and present/defend architectures to executives (CIO, CFO, business unit heads) in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and solution design for major enterprise engagements, including agentic AI within target architectures

• Own architecture end-to-end through delivery to avoid post-signature redesigns

• Scope 6- and 7-figure engagements with credible estimates, executive-signable phasing, and clearly named risks

• Define and standardize the enterprise solution design approach (discovery framework, architecture decision template, and agentic-fit assessment)

• Present and defend architectures to CIOs, CFOs, and business unit heads in German and English

• Build a reusable library of solution patterns that consultants and engineers actually use

• Collaborate with the AI & Engineering Practice: consulting owns solution design, engineering owns the technical blueprint and build

Requirements

• 8+ years in consulting or solution architecture

• At least 3 years of independent solution design for corporate clients (1,000+ employees) from discovery to signature (advisory or vendor side)

• Ability to structure unclear business problems into architecture options, scope, and risks with traceable artifacts

• Architecture fluency across enterprise CRM, ERP, data platforms, and integration patterns

• Experience designing or delivering at least one AI/agentic solution in production with explainable failures and named business outcomes

• Experience engaging CIO/CFO/procurement/IT security/business stakeholders; can give executives a justified “no”

• Commercial judgment for scoping and estimation for large engagements, with ownership when estimates are off

• Full business fluency in German and English; able to present the same architecture to a CFO and to a delivery team
