Description

Lead end-to-end engineering functions across systems, hardware, mechanical, electronics, and cross-functional integration to develop and customize KinetiX Wayside Inspection products. Own product architecture standardization, system-level design and interfaces, and requirements/verification governance across the product lifecycle. Drive design improvements for performance and reliability using gap analysis, prototyping, and trade-off analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the base product architecture for mechanical, electronic, and system components

• Define, document, and govern system requirements and verification processes

• Conduct gap analysis between base designs and customer requirements; identify customizations

• Lead solution definition and validate feasibility via architecture alignment, prototyping, and trade-off analysis

• Translate customer needs into system/subsystem requirements with cross-functional ownership

• Identify and implement design improvements based on root cause analysis for performance and reliability

• Establish design governance, engineering processes, and best practices

• Lead technical delivery: manage dependencies and resolve integration risks/trade-offs

• Partner with Scrum teams to balance feature delivery, defect resolution, and technical debt

• Drive technical ownership culture and mentor teams on system thinking and integration best practices

Salary Range

$104,800–$149,300
