Staff Product Designer, Console Experience

Senior • Hybrid

192,800 - 241,000 USD/yr

Seattle, WA

Quick Facts

  • Role: Staff Product Designer (Console Experience)

Description

Own the end-to-end design of a cloud console experience, from first login through daily workflows, ensuring navigation and cross-product patterns feel like one coherent system. Treat the design system as a product—own the component library, patterns, and interaction/visual standards, and set the quality bar with a review process across the suite. Build reusable, high-leverage patterns for shared surfaces and partner with engineering to deliver designs as intended.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end console experience design across the full user journey

  • Treat the design system as a product; plan its roadmap with engineering

  • Set UI craft and quality bar, including review process

  • Create reusable patterns instead of one-off team screens

  • Own high-visibility shared surfaces (navigation, onboarding, app shell, landing pages)

  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure fidelity; grow UI engineer design skills via reviews and pairing

  • Drive simplicity and UX differentiation using evidence

  • Own the creative vision for the console with a clear, opinionated point of view

Requirements

  • Staff-level product design experience with a proven track record scaling a design system across products/teams

  • Systems thinker who designs for reuse and consistency at scale

  • Strong interaction, visual, and information design craft supported by measurable UX impact

  • Demonstrated ability to drive quality and adoption through influence across dozens of teams

  • Comfort being the most senior (and possibly only) designer in the room under ambiguity

  • Strong, opinionated design point of view and commitment to owning creative direction

  • Solid collaboration with engineers and hands-on knowledge of front-end constraints

Benefits

  • Hybrid role

  • Compensation range: $192,800–$241,000

  • Potential bonus in addition to base salary

  • Equity compensation (equity grants upon hire; Employee Stock Purchase Program)

  • Career development support, including reimbursement for conferences and access to LinkedIn Learning

  • Well-being benefits including an Employee Assistance Program and flexible time off
