Description

Design and leverage digital data solutions in distributed systems to improve production and weapon system operational effectiveness. Build and deploy machine learning models, translate engineering domain knowledge into data analysis, and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure data quality, and maintain security, privacy, and compliance throughout the data lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, data collection methods, and data quality standards

  • Build systems for data analysis and exploration to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights

  • Implement and deploy machine learning models and work with software engineering teams to integrate into customer environments

  • Partner with subject matter experts to incorporate engineering domain knowledge into analysis and modeling

  • Continuously improve existing models and algorithms for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability

  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with applicable regulations and policies

  • Stay up to date with advances in data science, machine learning, and aerospace technologies

  • Communicate findings through reports, presentations, and visualizations

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a directly related field (engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry) or equivalent non-US qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in data science, AI, or machine learning

  • Programming experience in one or more: Python, Julia, R, C, C++, C#, Java

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship required

  • Interim and/or Final U.S. Secret clearance required post-start

  • Complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process

  • 100% onsite availability at the Saint Louis / Hazelwood campus

  • Must meet U.S. export control requirements as a “U.S. Person”
