Description

Perform sophisticated analytics—statistical and predictive analytics, machine learning modeling, and more—to deliver actionable insights that improve business outcomes and minimize risk. Consult business leaders on how to leverage analytics to build strategies, while owning the end-to-end delivery of data science solutions and measurable business results. Communicate insights through data visualizations to influence a wide range of stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities

• Independently perform advanced data analytics from classical econometrics to machine learning, neural networks, and natural language processing using structured and unstructured data
• Create compelling data visualizations to communicate insights and influence outcomes
• Take ownership of end-to-end solution design, technical delivery, and measurable business outcomes
• Lead stakeholder meetings to identify business objectives and scope solution requirements
• Write, document, and deploy custom predictive analytics code in multiple environments (Python, SAS, R, etc.)
• Use and collaborate through internal code repositories to enable continual learning
• Research and advocate adoption of emerging data science methods and technologies
• Apply risk management practices across design, development, and deployment; coordinate rules for data usage, data governance, and analytics capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in a quantitative field (Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent education and related training
• Understanding of statistical methods: classical statistics, probability theory, econometrics, time-series, and statistical testing
• Knowledge of linear algebra concepts for optimization and matrix operations (eigenvalue decompositions, principal components) plus calculus/differential equations and stochastic processes
• Data cleansing and preparation experience (regex, filtering, indexing, interpolation, outlier treatment)
• Strong data extraction skills across environments (SQL and jQuery mentioned)
• Working knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem tools (Pig, Hive) and/or NoSQL, Spark
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a collaborative environment
• English fluency required
