Description

You will manage production Linux servers and virtualization infrastructure, and take technical ownership of parts of an IPTV/OTT platform.

The role focuses on operating, developing, and automating Linux infrastructure, handling complex incidents with root-cause analysis, and implementing changes that improve stability, security, and operational efficiency.

You will also contribute to monitoring/alerting, centralized administration, deployments, capacity planning, and collaboration with development teams during releases.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux servers and virtualization infrastructure
• Operate, develop, and automate Linux infrastructure in a 24/7 on-call environment
• Own selected IPTV/OTT platform components
• Solve production incidents and perform root-cause analysis
• Design and implement technical changes to improve stability, security, and efficiency
• Install, configure, and upgrade servers, operating systems, and related platform services
• Manage and develop monitoring/alerting, centralized administration, and deployment systems
• Build automations using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
• Collaborate with development teams on new platform versions and features
• Propose architecture, sizing, and capacity planning
• Administer database and application components critical to service operations
• Maintain technical and operational documentation
• Participate in on-call duties after onboarding

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience administering production Linux systems
• Very good Linux knowledge (RHEL/Rocky Linux, Debian/Ubuntu)
• Experience troubleshooting complex system and network problems; strong TCP/IP, server networking, and security fundamentals
• Hands-on automation and scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management or Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools
• Ability to transfer knowledge and mentor less experienced colleagues
• Ability to propose solutions, drive them into production, and work independently with responsibility
• English for technical documentation and professional communication
