Description

You will design and develop modern data architecture and ML/AI services on Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and Vertex AI. The role covers database solution design, BigQuery SQL performance and cost optimization, and end-to-end data engineering standards (from project to monitoring). You will advise on the right GCP tools for business and reporting needs, integrate data from multiple sources, and contribute to reporting solution implementations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data architecture and ML/AI services on GCP (BigQuery, Vertex AI)
• Independently design database solutions
• Optimize performance and costs of BigQuery queries and processes
• Select appropriate GCP tools based on business and reporting requirements
• Implement and oversee data engineering standards from design to monitoring
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to turn requirements into analytics solutions
• Conduct technology reviews (R&D) and recommend Big Data innovations
• Integrate data from multiple sources
• Support planning and delivery of reporting solutions projects

Requirements

• 2–3+ years of Data Engineering experience (especially cloud projects using GCP and BigQuery)
• Expert knowledge of GCP data storage and processing services
• Advanced BigQuery SQL query optimization (partitioning, clustering, costs)
• Strong SQL optimization skills
• Python programming
• Experience with ETL/ELT and integrating data from external systems (e.g., Google Analytics, APIs, DataLayer)
• Technical degree (Computer Science or related)
• English proficiency at least B2
