• Focus: Architecture and technical leadership for a CMS transformation to a Sanity + Next.js + React + TypeScript + Vercel headless JAMstack

Description

You will design the target architecture and content/data model for a scalable Headless CMS/JAMstack solution based on Sanity, Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Vercel. You will lead the content migration strategy from the current CMS, including decisions for multisite/multi-brand environments, and provide technical oversight and quality control of the delivered code. You will also manage agent-assisted delivery by reviewing and verifying AI coding agent outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design the target architecture (Sanity + Next.js + Vercel) and the content model

• Define component structure and content schemas

• Develop and oversee the content migration strategy from the existing CMS

• Provide technical supervision across the program and ensure code quality

• Lead agent-assisted delivery: review and verify results produced by AI coding agents

• Collaborate with Sanity team and client-side architects

• Own key decision gates of the program

• Support engineering with mentoring and key technical decisions

• Ensure architectural consistency, code quality, and alignment with business and technical requirements

Requirements

• Experience designing Headless CMS + JAMstack architecture, especially Sanity + Next.js + Vercel

• Very strong Sanity skills: Content Lake, Sanity Studio, and content schema/model design

• Architect-level knowledge of Next.js, React, TypeScript

• Experience leading a content migration strategy from a traditional CMS to a headless stack

• Experience migrating from existing CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal) to a headless architecture

• Experience designing content models for multisite/multi-brand environments

• Experience integrating the CMS with external systems

• Experience supervising teams using AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code), including verifying and code reviewing delivered code

• English C1+ for client communication, presenting architectural solutions, and running decision workshops
