Description

You’ll own infrastructure delivery from business needs through architecture and implementation to production, for both internal and client projects. You’ll build infrastructure as code, support the SDLC, manage GitLab CI and build infrastructure, and operate monitoring and observability. You’ll use AI assistants daily and help design safe access to infrastructure for AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver infrastructure tailored to internal and client projects
• Create architectures and consult with development teams and clients
• Build infrastructure as code using OpenTofu (Terraform)
• Support the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Manage GitLab and GitLab CI; maintain CI and Buildkit servers
• Design and introduce new tools (e.g., security scans and secure access for AI tools)
• Maintain and create Docker images for development
• Implement and operate monitoring/observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana
• Build dashboards useful to the teams
• Operate Kubernetes clusters (cloud: AKS/EKS/GKE; on-prem: RKE2/Talos)
• Manage servers (Debian, RHEL) and automate with Ansible
• Administer VPN (FortiGate)
• Respond to infrastructure incidents during working hours via an on-call rotation

Requirements

• Proactive and able to independently propose and defend solutions
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to clients and non-IT stakeholders
• AI-first workflow using AI assistants/agents
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code using OpenTofu/Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with GitLab CI and/or GitHub Actions
• Strong Linux experience (Debian/RHEL)
• Monitoring stack experience: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK
