Description

Provide technical consulting for cloud platforms and managed services for both sales teams and end customers. Own key parts of the technical pre-sales process, including solution concepts, customer-specific designs, cloud readiness assessments, and capacity planning. Present and demonstrate cloud solutions primarily in remote sessions and support solution feasibility with engineering, architecture, and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Technical consulting for cloud platforms and managed services to sales and end customers
  • Lead and support the technical pre-sales process
  • Create technical concepts, customer-specific solution designs based on platform blueprints, and effort estimates
  • Conduct cloud readiness assessments
  • Perform sizing and capacity planning for compute, storage, and network resources
  • Plan customer-specific environments (tenant segments, network, SLA, backup)
  • Develop solution architectures and migration strategies, especially toward the target platform
  • Present and demonstrate cloud solutions (mostly remote sessions)
  • Create operating concepts and business cases for customer initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and sales to ensure solutions can be implemented
  • Feed learnings from customer discussions back into the evolution of the cloud service portfolio

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
  • Experience in technical consulting, pre-sales, or solutions engineering
  • Solid understanding of virtualization (OpenStack, VMware) plus networking and storage technologies
  • Experience producing technical offers, concepts, and effort estimates
  • Confident communication for customer meetings and presentations
  • Ability to adapt and explain technical content to different target groups
  • Independent, structured way of working
  • Willingness for occasional on-site meetings with customers and the team
  • Very good German and good English
