Description

Lead a team of principal engineers developing and delivering new product and capability requirements for the Verizon Value Organization. Serve as a key link across business, technical, and external teams to ensure architectures and requirements meet or exceed desired business outcomes. Own vendor management and integration planning, manage the multi-year roadmap, and use Agile practices to deliver enhancements, including AI-enabled in-store solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of principal engineers to create requirements and business cases for new product builds and enhancements

  • Act as directly responsible individual for systems vendor management and integration planning

  • Manage a multi-year technology solutions and product enhancement roadmap

  • Develop internal and external communications for enhancements and updates with Sales Operations teams

  • Balance stakeholder needs against short-, medium-, and long-term strategic business objectives

  • Own detailed architectural and user-experience requirements (including Jira user stories, requirements gathering/vetting, stakeholder reviews, story grooming, and testing)

  • Collaborate across functions (technical and non-technical) using Agile principles to deliver solutions quickly

  • Ensure value/indirect systems support and help exceed KPI targets

  • Leverage AI and emerging technologies for in-store hardware/software solutions

  • Lead development and management of multiple business platforms including CRM, product catalog, and point of activation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and reimagine products to optimize customer and partner experience

  • Maintain positive, productive relationships with external partners/vendors

  • Recruit and build effective working teams and ensure successful, efficient execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years of comparable work experience

  • Eight or more years of relevant work experience

  • Experience managing complex programs and projects with technical and system requirements

  • Experience supporting consumer customer-facing channels such as Indirect, Retail, Digital, Customer Service, and/or Inside Sales

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships, navigate cross-functional dynamics, and influence key stakeholders and senior leadership using data and strategic expertise

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, Asana, and Slack
