Quick Facts

  • Role: Principal Data Scientist, Strategic Analytics & Modeling
  • Focus: Executive-level strategy through advanced modeling and AI-driven decision systems

Description

As a Principal Data Scientist, you serve as the intellectual engine translating complex data into executive-level strategy and delivering “Deep Intelligence” for long-term business decisions. You lead advanced statistical models and analytical frameworks to solve complex business operations problems, including AI systems that use LLMs with RAG grounded in proprietary supply chain data. In a high-maturity environment, you use Domino Data Lab and Gurobi to solve difficult optimization puzzles and create end-to-end data science products that are scalable, governable, and measurable.

Responsibilities

  • Architect AI-driven decision systems using RAG to ground LLMs in proprietary supply chain data for accurate, real-time strategic recommendations
  • Optimize complex operations by using Gurobi to solve high-dimensional supply chain constraints beyond heuristics
  • Accelerate with AI-native workflows using advanced coding assistants like Claude Code within VS Code
  • Drive actionable insights and influence by leading end-to-end analytical projects, prescribing solutions, and proving causal ROI
  • Master executive storytelling by synthesizing model outputs into high-impact narratives and “What-If” simulators
  • Partner across teams to integrate models into a robust, strategically aligned autonomous ecosystem
  • Ensure governance and scalability by building solutions to measure model drift and impact

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant experience
  • Experience as a data scientist, analyst, or statistical modeler
  • Experience using LLMs or coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
  • Experience with Google BigQuery, Teradata, Python/R, SQL, Alteryx, and visualization tools like Tableau

Benefits

  • Health and wellness options: medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, basic life insurance, supplemental life insurance, AD&D insurance, identity theft protection, pet insurance, group home & auto insurance

  • Paid parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance, and other incentives
  • Potential premium pay depending on role (e.g., overtime, shift differential, holiday pay, allowances)
  • Vacation: up to 15 days per year for newly hired employees (grows with service)
  • Annual salary range varies by location and confirmed skills/experience: $120,500.00 - $231,000.00
