Description

The Product Research team turns research and algorithms into practical product capabilities. As an intern, you’ll work with research scientists and collaborate with software engineers to explore research ideas, build prototypes, and help move approaches into real-world customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Explore potential research and product projects, then develop one meaningful project related to the team’s work
• Investigate approaches with research scientists that could support product capabilities
• Translate mathematical, statistical, or computational ideas into prototypes, experiments, and functional software
• Apply research methods to practical problems involving data privacy, security, governance, machine learning, algorithms, or text analytics
• Evaluate approaches using data, experiments, measurements, and clear reasoning
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product teammates to understand how research becomes useful product work
• Communicate your process and findings through documentation, reports, presentations, and conversations

Requirements

• Strong foundation in computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or another quantitative field
• Programming experience with interest in applying technical skills to data and research problems
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain your work clearly
• Curiosity, initiative, and interest in turning research into practical solutions
• Research experience, a substantial independent project, or working with a professor is a plus
