Description

You will join the development of visualization software for the control computer of railway safety devices, directly supporting railway traffic management. The work includes extending and maintaining a railway remote control application, modernizing existing Delphi code, implementing new features (from UI changes to new communication support), creating and updating station/track configuration files, and testing the application with both development and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and collaborate on further application development for remote railway traffic control
• Modify and modernize existing code written in Delphi
• Implement new features based on requirements (UI adjustments and support for new communications)
• Create and update configuration files for specific railway stations and track sections
• Test the application and closely cooperate with colleagues from development and operations

Requirements

• Completed secondary technical education with maturita
• At least 1–2 years of programming experience
• Basic object-oriented programming knowledge (Delphi/Pascal experience is an advantage; willingness to move to Delphi is required)
• Understanding of network communication fundamentals (IP addresses, ports, TCP/UDP, or serial communication RS-232/485)
• Ability to read and work with foreign/previous code
• High level of care and responsibility for a safety-critical system
• Analytical and mathematical thinking for real-time logical relationships
• Very good knowledge of Czech
• Interest in technology/electronics/rail transport is beneficial
