Description

Work on high-throughput systems with a strict 50 ms time budget, building tools that protect platform APIs. You will design and implement access control and continuous abusive traffic detection/mitigation, partnering with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to automate decisions using modern AI tooling and GCP big data pipelines. The role emphasizes engineering best practices, autonomy in technology choices, and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-latency backend microservices for API management

• Implement key and resource access control

• Build tools for abusive traffic detection and mitigation

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to automate decision-making

• Leverage GCP big data pipelines for data-driven workflows

Requirements

• Commercial experience coding in Kotlin or Java (with an eagerness to master Kotlin for new services)

• Strong commitment to high-quality code and engineering best practices

• Experience solving complex challenges in massive-scale distributed systems

• Excitement to apply AI in daily engineering work

• Growth mindset; values team stability; open to occasional frontend tasks (React is a plus)

• Effective communication in Polish and English (at least B2)
