Description

Work on a core ERP system that connects transportation, payments, and intelligent mobility across Europe. You will design and implement core and customer-facing microservices using Java 17, Spring Boot/Quarkus, and Kafka, while improving backend-for-frontend architecture and GraphQL API performance. The role also includes CI/CD pipeline ownership and continuous monitoring and optimization of system performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new core and customer microservices with Java 17, Spring Boot/Quarkus, and Kafka

• Integrate and process data flows by publishing, consuming, and handling messages in Kafka

• Improve backend-for-frontend architecture and increase GraphQL API performance

• Create scalable, resilient, high-performance applications using reactive and non-reactive programming paradigms

• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure security, stability, and smooth deployments

• Continuously monitor and measure system performance using tools such as Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry, and Honeycomb

• Collaborate with product owners, domain experts, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Requirements

• Advanced Java knowledge (Java 17+), ideally 5+ years of experience

• Experience working in an agile development environment and contributing to iterative delivery

• Hands-on cloud development experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

• Practical microservices experience: designing, implementing, and operating microservice applications

• Strong understanding of Java, Java Streams, REST API, and asynchronous messaging

• Experience writing unit tests, component tests, and contract tests using Java testing and mocking frameworks
