Description

You will develop and maintain backend software for FIB-SEM and TEM electron microscopes, and contribute to the build and release environment of the software. Programming is primarily in C++23 (with Python or C# as alternatives), using tools such as Qt, Boost, CMake, Git/GitLab, and Visual Studio. You will test, debug, and improve stability and reliability while collaborating across application, electronics, hardware, and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend software for FIB-SEM and TEM electron microscopes

• Program mainly in C++23 (or Python/C# as needed)

• Work with Qt, Boost, CMake, Git, GitLab, and Visual Studio

• Participate in build/release processes, automation, and software delivery

• Test, debug, and improve software stability and reliability

• Collaborate across application, electronics, hardware, and service teams

Requirements

• Knowledge of C++, Python, C#, or a comparable programming language

• Interest in backend development and a desire to understand software-to-hardware interaction

• Experience or interest in DevOps, build systems, CI/CD, or release engineering

• Systematic troubleshooting and debugging approach

• Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally

• English proficiency for day-to-day collaboration in an international environment

• Professional eligibility per NV 194/2022 Sb., or the prerequisites to obtain it
