Description

You will manage the server lifecycle, including hardware onboarding/offboarding and quality assurance, while integrating and maintaining CMDB data. The role also includes contributing to an end-to-end operating concept, coordinating with business departments on requirements and expansions, and ensuring regular firmware/driver patching. You will plan and document patch activities in the ITSM/CMDB and handle day-to-day administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Server lifecycle management with inventory and quality assurance
• Contribute to creation of a holistic operations concept
• Onboard new hardware and offboard servers that left support
• Coordinate with relevant departments to advise on requirements, possible upgrades, and moves
• Categorize servers by department and environment (pilot/test first, then production and critical areas)
• Perform inventory and CMDB integration by verifying DELL servers are present in OpenManage Enterprise (OME)
• Conduct regular hardware patch days for firmware and driver installation, including planning and documentation in ITSM/CMDB
• Handle recurring administrative tasks

Requirements

• Experience/knowledge using CMDB and ITSM tools
• Very good hardware knowledge, especially servers
• High technical affinity and hands-on mentality
• Service orientation and willingness to engage
• Organizational talent; flexible, independent, structured working style
• Enjoy working with people and strong communication skills
• ~4 years of IT administration experience (preferred)
