ServiceNow - CMDB System Administrator

Description

Manage and optimize the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ServiceNow to support effective ITSM implementation, improve system performance, and increase operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage CMDB health.
• Review the existing configuration, including attributes, flows, CIs, groups, and teams.
• Prepare the CMDB to enable effective ITSM implementation in ServiceNow.
• Improve business processes and manage continuous-improvement projects.
• Propose automation whenever possible.
• Manage technical documentation.
• Coordinate upgrades and changes to the ServiceNow instance.
• Manage permissions and access, including roles, users, and groups.
• Maintain instance performance through regular checks.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day operations and system issues.
• Deploy update sets from non-production environments.
• Set up automatic notifications and alerts.
• Set up and schedule reports.
• Develop and manage a standard load template for data imports.
• Provide process training to business owners.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of CMDB modules.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of ITSM is a strong plus.
