Description

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work on PCBA and wire harness design for surgical robotics, following the design process through requirements, schematics, layout, build, test, and peer reviews. You will work with your mentor throughout the process and may have the opportunity to gain some experience working on a project in Systems Engineering. You will apply classroom knowledge, contribute to meaningful projects, and document complex processes for clear presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Apply classroom knowledge and gain experience in a fast-paced, growing industry setting
  • Implement new ideas and develop skills through challenging projects
  • Network with key/high-level stakeholders and leaders
  • Participate in an innovative team and culture
  • Document complex processes and present them clearly
  • Follow the design process for PCBA and wire harness work (requirements, schematics, layout, build, test, peer reviews)
  • Work with a mentor; possible additional experience in Systems Engineering

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
  • Must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment

Benefits

  • $20 min hourly wage; $35 max hourly wage; sign-on bonus
  • 11 paid holidays annually
  • Either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location
