Description

The Principal UX Researcher will support planning, strategy, and facilitation of UX research for an enterprise design team, collaborating across product teams to inform design and product strategy. The role drives qualitative research initiatives and elevates research analysis into formal product recommendations and user stories. Work includes discovery interviews, card sorts, validation research, competitive analysis, usability studies, and quantitative surveys, plus managing a centralized research repository.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute UX research using the right methodology for each investigation
  • Recruit participants across audience segments and create screeners and moderator guides
  • Facilitate user research sessions (e.g., one-on-one interviews, field observations, usability studies) and manage recorded sessions and asynchronous surveys
  • Analyze research using structured frameworks and translate insights into user requirements, user stories, and recommendations
  • Build and maintain a UX research roadmap and improve research best practices, templates, standards, and processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business objectives into research questions and learning agendas
  • Establish and lead research forums, workshops, and share-outs to promote insight transparency
  • Cultivate and maintain a UX research repository with reusable insights

Compensation

Base salary: $145,000–$154,000 annually. Bonus eligibility.
