Description

You will support and manage EHS requirements for notable customers in the pharmaceutical industry across all project phases, with a focus on HSE. The role includes developing and implementing HSE strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant work, health, safety, and environmental regulations, and conducting risk and process analyses such as HAZID and HAZOP/PAAG. You will also perform regulatory engineering follow-up, conduct safety walkthroughs, run internal HSE responsibilities, and organize fire/first-aid/evacuation drills with international collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Support pharmaceutical customers through all project phases (concept, basis, and detailed planning) with a focus on HSE
  • Develop, further develop, and implement HSE strategies, concepts, and standards in projects
  • Ensure compliance, and plan, implement, and optimize relevant occupational, health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Conduct and moderate risk and process analyses (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP/PAAG), including explosion protection assessment and related documentation
  • Regulatory Engineering: track permit and construction-related requirements and ensure construction-site safety via safety walks
  • Internal HSE responsibility: programs, training, ASA participation, hazard/risk assessments, safety walkthroughs, accident evaluation, and improvement measures
  • Organize fire protection, first-aid, and evacuation exercises and collaborate internationally to strengthen HSE advisory expertise

Requirements

  • Completed degree in safety engineering, pharmacy, or engineering sciences
  • Experience or qualification as a safety officer/occupational safety specialist (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) is desirable
  • Practical experience in environment, energy, occupational safety, and fire protection (ideally in engineering or pharma)
  • Knowledge of construction and environmental law, especially explosion protection and regulations on waste, hazardous goods, and hazardous materials
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Very good German and good English proficiency in speech and writing (additional languages beneficial)
  • Availability and willingness to travel
