Description

You will administer a private cloud infrastructure on dedicated hardware, including a Proxmox cluster and RedHat-based virtual machines. You’ll ensure high availability and implement storage and backup concepts. In parallel, you will own enterprise IT security operations such as vulnerability/patch management, centralized log/SIEM, incident response, and system hardening.

Responsibilities

• Administer Proxmox clusters and RedHat Linux-based VMs and further develop the architecture

• Ensure high availability; design and implement storage and backup concepts

• Operate enterprise IT security: vulnerability and patch management, central log management (SIEM), and incident response

• Harden servers, clusters, and endpoints (Linux, macOS, occasional Windows)

• Build step-by-step ISO 27001 and SOC 2 readiness

• Advise the development team on security topics for CI/CD and Secure SDLC

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience administering RedHat-based Linux distributions

• Experience operating and architecting private cloud infrastructure; strong server hardware knowledge

• Solid networking technology and high-availability knowledge

• Practical experience with Proxmox, OPNsense, FreeIPA, and LDAP

• Knowledge of storage and backup concepts

• SecOps experience: vulnerability management, SIEM/log management, and incident response

• Endpoint security knowledge for Linux, macOS, and Windows

• Teamwork skills and strong communication

• Fluent German or English (written and spoken)
