Description

You will lead end-to-end business analysis for defense-related stakeholders, translating operational user needs into technical solutions. You will advise CIOs and IT leaders, develop roadmaps, structure and visualize current and future business situations, and guide business change through go-live. You will also provide BA artifacts to support defense bids and further improve BA practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end business analysis in Bundeswehr, public authorities, and defense industry

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to CIOs and IT leadership; develop roadmaps and orchestrate programs

  • Structure, analyze, and visualize current and future functional/operational realities

  • Connect requirements of operational users with technical capabilities

  • Moderate workshops, prioritize backlogs, and support business change up to go-live

  • Support defense tendering with BA artifacts

  • Share BA best practices and further develop methods

Requirements

  • Multi-year experience as a Business Analyst (or adjacent roles such as Product Owner / Business Solution Designer) in IT/digital programs

  • Defense background in at least one track: industry, public sector, or armed forces/officer career path

  • Domain expertise in at least one area (e.g., operations/leadership support, logistics & maintenance, sensors/ISR, PLM/ALM, cyber security processes)

  • Strong methods and modeling skills in business analysis (requirements engineering, process/data modeling, functional architecture, business case)

  • Stakeholder management and change enablement (moderation, conflict resolution, storytelling, organizational/process change)

  • Fluent German and English in writing and speaking

  • Willingness for security review under SÜG

  • Willingness to travel, mainly within the DACH region
