Description

You will lead architecture for complex insurance projects, turning business opportunities into new customers while shaping enterprise-wide architecture and implementation roadmaps. The role includes translating business and technical requirements into clear target architectures, continuously optimizing existing systems, and integrating new solutions. You will also act as a technical and functional sparring partner across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform project and customer acquisition to generate new business

  • Design and accompany architecture for complex projects

  • Translate business and technical requirements into target architectures

  • Optimize existing systems continuously and integrate new solutions

  • Evaluate complex topics, develop concepts, and prepare decision materials

  • Provide technical and functional sparring for all disciplines

  • Maintain oversight of the full project cycle and ensure architecture and subject-area requirements are implemented

  • Own enterprise architecture across the company and create implementation roadmaps

Requirements

  • Proven project work and customer acquisition experience in the insurance domain

  • Existing contacts and market knowledge in the insurance industry

  • Several years of experience as an Enterprise or Solution Architect in insurance

  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT architecture and software development (including web technologies), plus integration patterns and integration technologies

  • Familiarity with TOGAF, ArchiMate, and BPMN

  • Strong conceptual skills, structured thinking, and high quality standards

  • German C1 proficiency and good English skills

  • Willingness to travel within the DACH region for project work
