You will lead selected projects and initiatives within the programme and provide structured programme management support under an appointed Programme Manager, coordinating delivery activities, dependencies, reporting, and governance.

Description

Lead operational stability and resilience projects from planning through execution and implementation, aligned with programme priorities. Coordinate across technology and business domains to turn programme priorities into executable plans while ensuring transparent reporting of progress, risks, issues, and outcomes. Contribute to initiatives focused on preventing service disruptions, detecting incidents earlier, restoring services faster, and addressing structural causes of recurring incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Programme Manager with a consolidated view of programme initiatives: objectives, ownership, milestones, funding, risks, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
  • Translate programme objectives and priorities into project plans, milestones, deliverables, and measurable success criteria.
  • Coordinate delivery focused on incident prevention, monitoring and observability, problem management, service recovery, automation, and application resilience.
  • Drive alignment and execution across technology, service management, and business teams involved in assigned initiatives.
  • Support programme governance: prepare decision materials, coordinate reporting cycles and meetings, and follow up actions, decisions, and escalations.
  • Produce clear, outcome-based reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and expected benefits.
  • Identify cross-initiative dependencies, gaps, and overlaps; support prioritisation and resolution across organisational boundaries.
  • Manage project scope, plans, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Maintain programme management artefacts such as integrated plans, RAID, decision logs, action tracking, and delivery dashboards.
  • Ensure root-cause analysis and incident trends are translated into actionable remediation initiatives and measurable stability improvements.
  • Ensure delivery complies with enterprise architecture, security, regulatory, resilience, and operational requirements.
  • Proactively identify delivery obstacles, manage escalations, and enable timely decisions with the Programme Manager.
  • Promote a strong delivery culture based on ownership, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven track record leading complex technology projects and strategic initiatives in large organisations.
  • Experience supporting multi-workstream programmes with integrated planning, governance coordination, reporting, RAID management, action tracking, and decision support.
  • Strong experience in operational stability, service reliability, operational resilience, or enterprise technology transformation.

  • Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management, monitoring and observability, service recovery, and root-cause remediation.
  • Ability to translate programme priorities and operational trends into executable project plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Experience preparing high-quality materials for governance forums, steering committees, and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing complex dependencies, risks, issues, delivery commitments, budgets, and resources.
  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across organisational units and technology domains.
  • Experience defining and tracking outcome-based metrics, benefits, and performance indicators.
  • Understanding of technology resilience, application reliability, operational readiness, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify delivery risks, resolve impediments, and drive successful outcomes in complex environments.
  • Very good financial and resource management skills.
  • Very good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced presentation skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
