Description

Data Scientist II supporting Radar Sensor Systems (RSS). Apply data science and software engineering methods for production-scale internal use and external research, collaborating with stakeholders and the Applied Artificial Intelligence team to develop analytic products for agile delivery across manufacturing, engineering, business development, and supply chain.

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop data visualizations using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Perform data analysis on large, complex data sets; generate actionable reports and recommendations
  • Use databases for data input, report generation, and data management
  • Apply machine learning algorithms for data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, and data visualization
  • Use data reduction, feature selection, and feature engineering to support evidence-based decision-making
  • Automate processes to enhance efficiency and scalability for large datasets
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to communicate findings and address technical challenges
  • Conduct analysis across the system lifecycle: concept, design, modeling, testing, operation, and maintenance
  • Interface with stakeholders (customers, programming management, senior leadership) to support data-driven strategies

Requirements

  • STEM degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Python development (numpy, scipy, scikit-image, scikit-learn) for integration into statistical and/or machine learning applications (beyond academic examples)
  • Databases management and SQL development
  • Experience with software development including documentation, testing, bug tracking, version control, and MLOps
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship required

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years
  • Advanced degree in STEM
  • Programming languages and tools such as Python, scikit-learn, Jupyter, SQL (Microsoft SQL, MySQL), Tableau, and R
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML), digital thread, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps)
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving RF and system power issues
  • MATLAB/Simulink, DOORS, DNG, Cameo, Jira, Confluence

Salary Range

68,900 USD - 131,100 USD (good faith estimate)
