Description

In the Principal Signals Software Engineering role, you will design, develop, optimize, and test systems using models to satisfy customer mission needs for satellite ground systems. The position emphasizes signals software engineering with a focus on radio frequencies, Fourier, and digital signals processing.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models
  • Collaborate to integrate signal processing software with satellite ground systems
  • Develop and implement signal processing algorithms, including Fourier transforms, digital signal processing, and RF signal processing
  • Analyze and optimize signal processing algorithms for improved performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to signal processing software
  • Lead one or more software development teams and ensure work follows the project’s software development process
  • Follow established software processes and procedures, including development, documentation, and maintenance/management of operations concepts and requirements

Requirements

  • Active and transferable TS/SCI with Polygraph U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required
  • Adjudication date less than three years ago from starting date
  • Typically requires a degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience as a Signals Software Engineer (SSWE) or equivalent on projects focused on RF, including Fourier transforms, filtering, communications theory, digital modulation, error control coding
  • Signals analysis tools experience (e.g., Wigner-Ville transform (WVT), DVT)
  • Digital signal processing experience (e.g., adaptive beamforming/filtering, demodulation)
