Description

Candidate will support assigned service calls for 5–6 retail stores for one of CBRE’s largest retail clients within a geographical area. Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial RTUs and split systems as well as general maintenance related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, roofing, etc.

What You’ll Do

  • Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance
  • Completes maintenance and repairs; records as required
  • Reviews assigned work orders; estimates time and materials; orders necessary materials and supplies
  • Uses CMMS to manage work orders and track completion
  • Leads troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems including HVAC, plumbing systems, roofs, and drains
  • Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety laws
  • Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure operation within design capabilities and prescribed environmental conditions
  • Oversees and inspects work performed by outside contractors
  • Maintains building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements
  • Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
  • Reports and communicates daily all work activity via PDA device

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record with periodic checks
  • Necessary skills to functionally operate a full-size van/truck
  • Universal CFC or EPA certification required
  • Excellent social skills, including oral and written communications
  • Uses computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, and training
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
