Description

Independently plans and executes product testing and evaluations. Develops test plans, operates and validates test stations and automation, investigates defects with QA and Engineering, documents results, and improves existing test methods.

What You’ll Do

• Executes physical and environmental testing of hardware (cable modems, set top boxes, amplifiers, optical nodes, RF signal splitters, optical components) for deployment into the network
• Executes existing test plans
• Interfaces with Network Engineering to maintain integrity of the test bed area
• Tests and certifies to industry standards from SCTE, CableLabs, IEEE, MIL, Telcordia, ASTM, IEC
• Works with vendors on new product releases
• Maintains consistent records and documentation of all tests and certifications
• Keeps appropriate people informed of status and progress
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion
• Maintains regular, consistent, punctual attendance; able to work nights and weekends and overtime as necessary

Requirements

• Willingness to jump right in and learn in a hands-on environment
• Experience with electrical circuits and radio frequency
• Engineering degree or relevant experience
• Experience with test equipment is a plus
