Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Policy as Code (PAC) team within Pipeline Engineering, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable policy-as-code solutions for automated governance and compliance. The role includes contributing to both backend and frontend development, shaping technical direction, and integrating policies into CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance teams to deliver secure automation workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain policy-as-code solutions for automated governance and compliance
  • Build and enhance applications using JavaScript and modern frameworks (preferably Vue; alternatives include Angular or React)
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices for policy enforcement and automation workflows
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps and pipeline engineering teams to embed policies into CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments on AWS or Azure
  • Apply UI/UX design principles for intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
  • Participate in Agile processes (sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews)
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices and standards
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize for performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Provide detailed technical design and development using existing and emerging technology platforms
  • Propose and design software solutions for complex business needs
  • Write code, tests, and deploy software
  • Prepare technical and procedural documentation
  • Maintain and debug software

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Proficiency in front-end JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
  • Experience with Golang
  • Strong knowledge of NoSQL database systems (MongoDB)
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • DevOps principles
  • Problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
