Description

This role designs, develops, and supports applications serving Finance and other business functions across the bank. The engineer will develop and enhance primarily web-based applications using C# and .NET, build new functionality from business requirements and user stories, and support existing applications through troubleshooting, bug fixes, security remediation, testing, and ongoing production support. The engineer works with relational databases and participates throughout the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and development through deployment, maintenance, and enhancement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance web-based applications using C# and .NET
  • Build new application features based on business requirements, user stories, and project needs
  • Develop and maintain data-driven applications that integrate with relational databases
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement application defect fixes
  • Identify and remediate application security vulnerabilities
  • Write and execute unit tests, functional tests, and application validation activities
  • Participate in application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications to improve stability, security, and functionality
  • Collaborate with software engineers, technical team members, and business stakeholders
  • Support multiple applications and contribute to team-specific and cross-functional initiatives
  • Take ownership of assigned solutions throughout their development and operational lifecycle

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Professional experience developing applications with C# and .NET
  • Experience building and supporting web-based applications
  • Experience working with relational databases and data-driven applications
  • Ability to develop application functionality from business requirements or user stories
  • Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting production applications
  • Experience implementing bug fixes, enhancements, or application vulnerability remediations
  • Current hands-on software development experience

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience writing and executing unit tests and functional tests
  • Experience supporting applications throughout the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience developing additional .NET-based solutions, including desktop applications, executables, Excel add-ins, or automation tools
  • Exposure to ETL processes or enterprise integrations
  • Experience developing internal business applications or technology solutions supporting Finance
  • Experience working across multiple applications in a collaborative, business-facing environment
