Quick Facts

Hands-on product leader responsible for the strategy and roadmap of SGP’s core platform and for leading the PM team.

Role Summary

Scale builds AI applications for organizations where reliability, security, and measurable results matter. The core platform, SGP, provides capabilities to build, deploy, evaluate, and operate AI applications in customer environments. The product leader will own the strategy and roadmap for the platform and lead the PM team responsible for it, working with customers, platform engineering, and forward deployed teams to build needed capabilities, productize valuable field work, and improve how teams build, deploy, and operate AI applications.

Description

This is a hands-on leadership role: connect work across teams into a coherent product, make difficult scope and investment decisions, and stay close enough to details to ensure what is shipped works for users.

What you’ll do

  • Own the platform strategy and roadmap, prioritizing developer experience, customer-needed capabilities, and productizing work built in the field with broader value.
  • Sequence investments against customer value, commitments, and dependencies.
  • Define how the product should work by writing clear requirements and building vibe code prototypes, user journeys, and success measures through customer outcomes, capability adoption, delivery time, and production performance.
  • Follow through on gaps after launch.
  • Align teams across the business with platform engineering, forward deployed PMs, and business leaders to agree on shared capabilities, rollout priorities, and necessary differences across environments.
  • Build and lead a strong PM team: establish ownership across related product areas, hire and coach PMs, and improve the quality of product thinking and written requirements.

What we’re looking for

  • Track record of owning platform, infrastructure, or developer products from problem definition through launch and sustained production use.
  • Experience managing and developing product managers, setting direction across multiple related product areas, and remaining hands-on with important product decisions.
  • Strong product judgment: explain chosen problems, decisions made against, sequencing, and user impact.
  • Technical depth to work credibly with engineers on APIs, runtime behavior, identity and authorization, deployment, observability, and data isolation; reason about architectural tradeoffs and consequences for users, security, and operations.
  • Experience driving adoption across teams with different needs and constraints; reach decisions and follow through when progress depends on people outside your reporting line.
  • Clear, precise writing and communication that turns ambiguous problems into actionable requirements and explains priorities/tradeoffs to customers and executives.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with AI platforms: agent runtimes, workflow orchestration, evaluation, datasets, human review, production AI observability.
  • Experience building products for regulated industries or deploying into on-premises, air-gapped, or classified environments.
  • Experience turning capabilities developed for individual customers into reusable platform products.

Benefits

Compensation packages for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous PTO, and may include a commuter stipend.
