Description

The Sr Business Analyst – Pro Merchandising Operations contributes to strategic business development and execution of the Pro strategy through supplier engagement and assortment performance. The role helps scale supplier capabilities, develop new Pro-focused supplier programs, and partner with suppliers to expand and optimize capabilities and assortments to serve Pro customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Supplier Value Creation: Identify and execute opportunities using supplier capabilities, business insights, and cross-functional partnerships to create measurable value; develop scalable solutions to strengthen supplier performance and advance Pro Merchandising priorities.

  • Drive Assortment Productivity: Analyze assortment, sales, customer, and operational performance to identify opportunities that improve productivity and strengthen end-to-end Pro assortment; translate insights into actionable recommendations and drive execution and measurement.

  • Identify and Deliver Project Category Improvements: Act as subject matter expert for assigned project categories by evaluating customer needs, competitive gaps, and business performance; lead initiatives to improve category experience and expand Pro capabilities.

  • Provide Supplier Operational Support: Serve as primary point of contact for supplier operational needs in assigned categories; partner across teams to resolve escalations, address assortment challenges, and remove barriers affecting supplier performance and customer experience.

  • Build Team Capability: Mentor and support analysts by sharing business knowledge, analytical approaches, and best practices to elevate insight quality and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience
  • Strong analytical skills, including gathering data, applying critical thinking, analyzing systems and processes, and making recommendations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once with minimal direction; work across several workstreams balancing quality and delivery
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau, and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
