Description

As an individual contributor, you’ll create exceptional web experiences that help business audiences understand OpenAI products, explore relevance to their organizations, and find the right next step. You’ll balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints while delivering cohesive experiences across the site. You’ll work closely with engineers, brand designers, marketers, and writers to shape ideas and ship polished work.

Responsibilities

• Own design from concept through implementation: information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity responsive designs
• Translate complex product capabilities and business use cases into clear stories and compelling web experiences
• Design product, solution, and campaign experiences that help business audiences discover, evaluate, and take action
• Partner with engineers, brand designers, marketers, and writers to make thoughtful tradeoffs and ship polished work
• Evolve and apply the web design system with reusable patterns
• Participate through implementation and design QA, focusing on accessibility, responsive behavior, interaction details, and performance
• Use research, feedback, analytics, and experimentation to improve experiences over time

Requirements

• Track record of shipping high-quality websites or web products; portfolio demonstrates visual craft and thoughtful UX decisions
• Strong eye for typography, layout, hierarchy, and interaction details that create cohesive experiences
• Systems thinking; ability to turn complex content and information hierarchies into clear, intuitive experiences
• Ability to move confidently from early concepts and prototypes to detailed designs and partner with engineers
• Strong cross-functional communication and ability to balance user needs, brand expression, and business goals
• Comfort with ambiguity; seek feedback; take ownership of moving work forward
• Curiosity about OpenAI’s mission and motivation to help people understand and use AI
