Description

Own a bounded platform component (service module or SDK area) and evolve its contracts for multi-tenant use. Lead team-level improvements to integration frameworks and developer tooling by performing deep debugging across a limited-service graph and driving compatibility-safe remediation plans. Analyze usage, performance, and error budgets for specific platform surfaces, then implement targeted resilience and capacity optimizations and provide adoption guidance.

Responsibilities

Platform Software Development:

• Own and evolve bounded platform components and multi-tenant contracts

• Perform deep debugging across a limited-service graph; develop compatibility-safe remediation plans

• Implement targeted resilience/capacity patterns and document adoption guidance

Software Development and Coding – Design, Testing, and Optimization:

• Design software solutions and analyze requirements to meet business and operational goals

• Follow and improve all phases of the software development lifecycle

• Develop features/enhancements per design specifications and write design/code documents

• Lead code reviews in designated areas

• Debug and troubleshoot moderately complex issues; develop fixes

• Implement software testing (functional and non-functional), QA processes, error logging, monitoring, and observability

• Perform performance profiling and optimization

• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex API functionality and integration issues

• Implement API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies

Software Architecture – Software System Structural Design:

• Design and develop software/services aligned to pre-defined architecture

• Apply architecture best practices and decisions

• Collaborate to ensure alignment with architecture

• Implement performance optimization and scalability strategies

Issue/Defect Collaboration – Software Products Support:

• Investigate and troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and align on short- and long-term solutions

• Provide technical guidance/support to customers when needed

• Coach/mentor others and propose product enhancements based on feedback

• Implement customer issue/defect handling and training processes

Practices and Standards Compliance – Security and Compliance:

• Establish and follow development practices and coding standards

• Ensure code quality and adherence to acceptance criteria

• Apply industry best practices to development processes

• Implement secure coding practices to prevent vulnerabilities

Development Operations – System Maintenance:

• Perform periodic maintenance and testing for upgrades/patching (e.g., critical vulnerabilities)

• Drive improvements for automation, testing, and debugging to ensure availability, health, support, and reliability
