Description

As an Expert CTO Portfolio Delivery Lead – Technology and Fintech, you will partner with executive stakeholders to oversee delivery of complex technology portfolios within a Chief Technology Office, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment across global teams. The role focuses on influencing digital transformation through portfolio delivery governance, portfolio health monitoring, and risk escalation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Area stakeholders, Project and Programme Sponsors, and Transformation Leads to facilitate effective portfolio delivery.
• Act as primary contact between Areas and the Central PMO function to streamline communication.
• Support achievement of portfolio outcomes by aligning projects with organizational strategies.
• Monitor project progress, report on portfolio health, and escalate risks and issues to senior leadership.
• Ensure programmes adhere to HSBC frameworks and standards, maintaining quality and compliance.
• Support annual planning activities: advise on best methods and perform health checks on resource demands.
• Coordinate inter-programme linkages to ensure cohesive delivery.
• Track and report on programmes and projects outside direct ownership with comprehensive oversight.

Requirements

• Existing legal right to work in the European Union.
• At least 7 years of experience in portfolio management, programme delivery, or related senior roles.
• Strong understanding of portfolio management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proactive problem-solving with experience in negotiation, documentation, and presenting recommendations.
• Critical thinking and resilience under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills with senior-level stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities to engage and align diverse teams.
• Deep understanding of financial planning processes including forecasting, variance management, and project accounting principles.
• Strong time management skills and experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Solid knowledge of technology infrastructure, fintech platforms, and digital transformation projects.
• Advanced reporting skills to produce high-level reports for executive audiences.
• Fluent English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
