DevOps Engineer (Platform Team) in Poland

Description

The project focuses on modernizing the cloud platform that powers a global TV technology and audience analytics ecosystem. It includes enhancing Kubernetes environments, improving platform engineering capabilities, and evolving cloud infrastructure, observability, and deployment processes to support scalable internal application platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, migrate, and modernize Kubernetes manifests to align with centralized internal tooling and ArgoCD architecture.
  • Lead the upgrade and maintenance of core platform components to ensure system stability and performance, including cert-manager, external-dns, and Kyverno.
  • Proactively identify and close monitoring and alerting gaps to enhance platform observability using VictoriaMetrics, VictoriaLogs, and Grafana.
  • Provide expert engineering support for the continuous upkeep and progressive expansion of application platforms.
  • Resolve engineering operational tickets, ensuring timely support for internal teams.
  • Deliver validated, integrated pull requests with comprehensive testing that meets company standards.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation and concise technical summaries for resolved tickets and implemented changes.
  • Ensure all rollouts to development environments adhere to strict schema and volume requirements.

Must-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Hands-on production experience with AWS (preferred) and/or GCP.
  • Strong commercial experience with large-scale Kubernetes clusters (10k+ vCPU).
  • Strong Python coding skills and commercial experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with ArgoCD or GitOps-based deployment approaches.
  • Experience operating and supporting production cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with CI/CD, build, and deployment automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent.
  • Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

  • Experience with API-first service design.
