Description

The duties of a Radiology physician include, but are not limited to, diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases using medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and ultrasound.

Essential Functions

  • Examine various types of images, including X-rays, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound.
  • Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Apply legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
  • Prescribe relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient-care aids; instruct patients on correct usage.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards.
  • Apply knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient-care services within the area of expertise.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in the area of expertise.
  • Develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.

  • Medical doctor with 3–5 years of directly related experience, which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty.

  • Active medical license in Kansas
  • Board certified or board eligible in Radiology

  • BLS certification
