Description

You will design, operate, and develop the CMDB as a key data source for configuration items and technology configuration items. You will manage central data collection, maintain and control CMDB data quality, and ensure CMDB availability and reliability. You will also define CMDBs and document CMDB data models, and design onboarding processes for configuration items that cannot be identified or imported automatically.

Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and develop the CMDB

• Centralize collection of configuration item data and manage/control CMDB data

• Ensure CMDB availability and reliability as a key source of configuration item and technology configuration item data

• Define CMDBs and document CMDB data models

• Propose processes for onboarding configuration items that cannot be identified or imported automatically

Requirements

• Technical education (IT, informatics/computer science)

• 2+ years of experience in an IT environment (operations, applications, IT infrastructure, ITSM)

• Experience managing CMDB, IT configuration items, and ITSM tools

• Understanding of IT infrastructure and application architecture

• Experience with CMDB tools (Jira Assets is an advantage)

• Knowledge of automated discovery of configuration items

• Experience designing simple processes

• Experience with reporting and data quality

• Analytical thinking and independent, consistent, systematic working approach
